UR MASSAGE THERAPIST
James Treptau
I go by James or Jim, and massage therapy isn’t just my profession — it’s my passion. Growing up in Buffalo, MN, and graduating from Buffalo High School in 2002, I’ve always had a deep appreciation for the power of hands-on work. That led me to earn an A.S. degree in Automation Robotics from Dunwoody College in 2006, launching me into the world of manufacturing. But my true calling? Helping people heal. In 2012, I gained a certification in massage therapy from the Minnesota School of Business (Elk River), blending my analytical problem-solving skills with the healing power of touch.
With over a decade of experience across 10+ modalities, I focus on both relaxation and true healing. I specialize in Myofascial Release (MFR), Trigger Point Therapy (Shiatsu), Craniosacral Therapy, Reflexology, Lymph Drainage, and Sports Massage — helping clients relieve chronic pain, increase mobility, and reset their nervous systems.
My Approach: More Than Just Relaxation
I believe massage should do more than just feel good — it should fix and heal your body. That’s why I created specialized massage bundles like Beyond the Classics and The Works, designed to go beyond the traditional massages (e.g., Swedish, Deep Tissue) to truly restore your body. I’m a hybrid massage therapist, meaning I can adjust between deep, targeted pressure or lighter techniques to address exactly what your body needs.
Returning to Buffalo: A Full-Circle Moment
After spending the last few years in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, my wife and I returned to Buffalo in 2025 with our son, Collin. Fatherhood has given me a deeper appreciation for selfcare, holistic therapies, and aging gracefully.
Where You Can Find Me
I provide massage therapy at Hair Architects Salon and Day Spa in Buffalo, MN, bringing expert-level healing to my hometown community. Whether you need to recover from an injury, manage stress, or prioritize your overall wellness, I’m here to help you feel better, move better, and live better.
Looking forward to meeting you and helping you get back to feeling your best!
